This nightclub, opened in November 2006, is built like a vintage train station that can take you on a chuck wagon ride out of Edmonton and into the heart of the western party frontier. Staying true to Alberta’s cowboy era, this savvy venue is great for a night of honky-tonk dancing, drinking, and overall pure, old-fashioned good times.

A Can of Beans and a Campfire Song
Following its western theme, expect to hear old country classics remixed with new techno beats at this nouveau saloon. Don’t be surprised when the dance floor changes from chaos to organized rows when classics like Cadillac Ranch call for a line dance. If your line-dancing skills are a bit rusty, Neon Leon teaches for free every Friday night. The Ranch does mix in some modern tunes and Top 40 favourites that keep the dance going and the beer flowing.

The Bucking Bronco
If things aren’t exciting enough for you on the dance floor, perhaps a ride on The Ranch’s bucking bronco would get the old endorphins going. This full-sized, buck-skinned bull may be mechanical, but it can still throw the odd rookie cowboy on his caboose. Ladies night on Saturdays give the cowgirls in the crowd priority to ride, show off their new duds, and show the boys how it’s really done out here in the west.
